Soggy Saturday

It's not as ugly as yesterday, but it's still pretty yucky and gloomy out there.

So I totally slept in today. Like after noon slept in. Oooooops. I need to kick this situation like NOW so I'm on a mission to get it dealt with tonight. I have lots of errands and chores to get done tomorrow, plus a yoga class I'm dying to get to so there will be no wasting the morning away.

I solemnly vow to take my ass to bed at a normal time and to not watch any TV once I get there!!

I did accomplish my main goals for today my NEW CAMERA! weeeeeeeeeeeeee!! and got an extra super-duper workout in! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee some more!!

The camera is charging right now and I will tell you all about it tomorrow when I've had a chance to use it. The salesguy in the store had me somewhat second guessing my choice, but he was kind of an ass so in the end I chose to stay with my original choice of the Nikon Coolpix S230. I wanted red, but it came in this very cool magenta instead! I'm excited to test it out on breakfast tomorrow. :)


Treadmill: totals: 30 minutes, 250 cals, 2 miles
5 minute walking warm-up, increasing speed every 1 minute
20 minute run @ 5.0mph with two walking breaks of 1 minute
5 minute walking cooldown @ 3.5mph

Elliptical: 15 minutes, 120 cals, 1.25 miles, cross country mode with varying resistance

2 sets of 15 plie squats with 15lb bar
2 sets of 15 straight back folding deadlifts with 15lb bar
2 sets of 15 squating deadlifts with 15lb bar
2 sets of 15 (per leg) stationary squats holding 8lb dumbbell in each hand
3 sets of 20 mountain climbers (with hand on step)
30 crunches with one leg up (15 each side)
30 side-to-side crunches
15 reverse crunches
30 second (each side) side planks with arm straight up

I had planned to do upper body today too, but honestly I was soooo wiped out that I was actually worried my blood sugar was crashing and I might pass out. I did that once and I don't plan to ever do it again so I took myself home. Ate a Clif bar in the car and felt a zillion times better. I am pretty exhausted now though so my plan for sleeping like a normal person tonight is looking good!

Today's eats were a little off kilter due to getting up so damn late (and I skipped coffee! gasp!)...

- Organic Daybreak cereal (full 1 cup serving) with 1/2 cup vanilla hemp milk (end of the carton) and 1/2 cup of skim milk
- black cherry almond Clif Bar
- leftover homemade Greek salad, hummus, whole wheat pita
- maple BBQ salmon (baked in the oven), steamed brocolli, roasted sweet potatoes
- yogurt and watermelon snack tonight Pin It
