Snacking is fun again!

First things firstHalifax peeps… Miss Susan from The Great Balancing Act is coming to town.  We are having lunch this Sunday and would love any other locals to join us.  Lemme know if you want to meet up for some blogger love!

So like the hungry monkey I am today, I went straight for my fruity snack after this afternoon’s post…

Grapes and cheese.  The only thing better than grapes and cheese is apples and cheese.  :)

After picking FH up from work I was still a snacky-snackerton so I finally cracked into the Popchips I’ve had in the pantry since before Christmas.

Yes, that’s right.  Honest to goodness healthy chips in the house and I haven’t touched them in almost two months.  What the h-e-double-hockey-sticks was I thinking.

Don’t worry, now that they have been tried, the other five bags don’t stand a chance.  :) mhmmmm…those kind Popchips folks sent me a whole sample pack!

Tasted the barbeque flavor today and thought they were a tasty little snack…

They don’t fry it (unhealthy). They don’t bake it (undelicious).  They just pop it and season it.  You won’t even notice that it’s (gasp) healthier! 

Still a few not super fab ingredients in there but a helluva lot better than most greasy potato chips and way fun.  :)  And 100 cals for the snack size bag is ok by me.

Anyway, I digress…after more work (it’s not busy but I seem to be drowning in my own mess)…I finally got to have dinner. 

The pizza dreams are made of (I think I’m delirious…don’t mind me)…

With extra pineapple and two random meatballs added for extra protein and taste…

In the bigass bowl:  organic Italian mixed greens, cucumber, yellow pepper, tomatoes, beets, carrots, dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, EVOO, lemon juice, and a wedge of herby goat cheese…

Not to steal the term, but this was a beast!  Nom!

I was stuffed, but in true form with the rest of today it’s been about 2 hours and I’m getting hungry again.  I guess sweating my ass off for the better part of two hours this morning really got my hunger going.  I think I’ll try to tame this craving with some tea.  Enough eating already!

Ahhh Enjoy the Pop Chips!! I am addicted. They sell a big bag of them at Costco (cheddar flavour). They are the best!! I keep them in the freezer to hide them once the bag is open :)

I agree, grapes and cheese are one of my favourite snacks. I enjoy apples and cheese too but grapes and cheese are my fav!!
